Hey Bold Creators!

A quick update before we dive into this month’s issue, there are only 12 days left to apply for the 2026 Bold Creators Cohort.

We’d love for you to prayerfully consider applying to join this great group of redemptive entrepreneurs that is forming for this year’s program and retreat.

You’ll find more program information and retreat dates below!

The Power Of Networking With Purpose

Robert Kizza is the marketing director of Exodus Projects, an organization in Karuma, Uganda, offering meaningful employment and discipleship opportunities to women seeking a way out of the sex trade.

He was introduced to Bold Creators through his friends Clark and Joyce Lasse from Arkansas.

At the Bold Creators retreat, Robert connected with other entrepreneurs from around the world, including Donnie Smith, a former CEO of Tyson Foods now addressing hunger in Africa through sustainable agriculture. Their conversation led to an invitation to attend a Foundations for Farming training in Rwanda.

Robert made the 10+ hour trip.

He returned to Karuma with agricultural knowledge that is transforming how Exodus Projects creates sustainable work for the women they serve through farming.

A marketing director working in northern Uganda. A retired poultry executive working in Rwanda. A connection that might impact the lives of countless others.

Opportunities come alive when Bold Creators gather together.

Hear Robert share his story HERE.

Keeping Your Loves In Order

One of the most exciting things about entrepreneurship is doing what you love.

That can be exhilarating. Knowing you’re doing what you were made to do can get you through the hard days. We all want to be in a place where we can say:

“I love what I’m doing.“

But if we aren’t careful, we can start to love our businesses more than anything else, prioritizing them over family, friendships, even God.

Jesus summed up the greatest commandment as this:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.”
— Mark 12:30.

Our heart, soul, mind, and strength belong to God.

But if we give our hearts to our work, wrap our souls up in it as the source of our purpose, consume our minds with our industries, and spend all our physical strength to make it work, then we’ve replaced God.

We end up living as if Jesus said:

“Love your business with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.”

Only God is worthy to sit on the throne.
Businesses make disappointing gods.
We have to keep our loves in order.

When God is on the throne, our businesses can be an expression of our love for Him with…

  • …all your heart: Our love for God flows through our work as an extension of his love to others. We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

  • …all your soul: Our identity is settled in God, so our work becomes more about living out of our value instead of working to earn it. We do the good work he designed us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

  • …all your mind: We discipline our minds to seek God’s wisdom. We think about heavenly things and apply them here on earth. (Philippians 4:8)

  • …all your strength: We steward our energy to accomplish good for others, as if we were serving Jesus himself. (Colossians 3:23-24)

When you look at your life and business, is it an expression of your love for God—or is something competing for your heart, soul, mind, or strength?

Take some time to think through this question, even journal your answer, or have a conversation with a trusted friend to share your answer.
